Broward County has made a major increase in providing all teachers throughout the District with the professional training to educate our students on HIV/AIDS curriculum. Last year less than 50 percent of our teachers received professional development. Fortunately, through the infusion of technology such as our online course, webinars and videoconferencing, we will see a great increase of leaders receiving professional development. The impact of teachers being professionally trained will ensure that the students will receive education in HIV/AIDS.
